Lesbisch Schwules Stadtfest
We were thrilled to serve our traditional Nepalese flavors at the vibrant Lesbisch-Schwules Stadtfest, celebrating diversity with thousands of visitors from the Globe!
We were proud to be a part of the Lesbisch-Schwules Stadtfest, an extraordinary event that celebrates diversity, equality, and inclusion. Held annually in Berlin’s vibrant Schöneberg district, this festival brings together hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world to experience a rich mix of cultural performances, music, and culinary delights. As food truck owners, we had the pleasure of serving our traditional Nepalese street food to festival-goers, who gathered to enjoy the lively atmosphere and festive spirit. Since its inception in 1993, the event has grown into a significant part of Berlin’s cultural scene, with the motto “Gleiche Rechte für Ungleiche.Weltweit!” ("Equal rights for the unequal. Worldwide!") at its core, promoting equality and human rights for all, regardless of gender, sexuality, or background. This event, held just before the renowned Christopher Street Day (CSD) parade, transforms the Schöneberger Regenbogenkiez into a lively party mile, with visitors enjoying a colorful and inclusive celebration. The festival spans almost 20,000 square meters and features six stages across the neighborhood, where visitors can enjoy a wide range of performances, from live music to drag shows, dance, and interactive art. In addition to the diverse entertainment, culinary offerings from local eateries and food trucks, like ours, are a highlight. The Motz-, Eisenacher-, Fugger-, and Kalckreuthstraße were filled with delicious aromas from international street food vendors, enhancing the festive ambiance. At our food truck, we delighted festival-goers with bold, flavorful dishes that offered a taste of Nepal. The welcoming atmosphere of the event, combined with the colorful and dynamic environment of the Schöneberg neighborhood, created a unique setting where food and culture came together to celebrate the values of acceptance, love, and community. It was an honor to be a part of this celebration, and we look forward to returning next year!
