Schöneberger Kürbisfest
Among pumpkins and fall fun, our Nepalese momo warmed hearts at Schöneberger Kürbisfest. The joyful crowd enjoyed both the festive vibe and our tasty Momo!
At the Schöneberger Kürbisfest, we had the pleasure of serving our Nepalese momo to the vibrant crowd celebrating this cherished autumn tradition. Held on September 30 and October 1 along Akazien and Belziger Streets in Berlin-Schöneberg, the festival has been bringing people together for 24 years to enjoy good company, delicious food, and local products. The streets were lined with fresh pumpkins, apples, plums, and other seasonal produce from local farmers, creating a picturesque setting for the thousands of visitors who came to relax, shop, and indulge. Amidst the colorful displays of pumpkins, the “Bärlin Biker Crew” captivated the audience with their incredible pumpkin carving demonstrations, raising donations for disadvantaged children. As the scent of freshly cooked pumpkin soup filled the air, our food truck was busy serving warm, savory momo to festival-goers eager to experience a taste of Nepalese street food. The hearty flavors of our momo paired perfectly with the rich autumn atmosphere, offering a unique culinary experience to the diverse crowd. The Kürbisfest isn’t just about pumpkins; it’s also a hub for international cuisine and products. Alongside our food truck, visitors could find a wide array of global food offerings, including German wines and beverages, ensuring everyone had something delicious to enjoy. New vendors from around the world added to the festival’s charm, with stalls offering chocolate, oils, spices, handmade crafts, designer clothing, leather goods, and jewelry. It was the ideal place to pick up one-of-a-kind gifts for the holiday season. As people explored the festival, they discovered the warmth of our Nepalese momo, making their visit even more memorable. We were thrilled to be part of an event that celebrates both local traditions and international flavors, all while contributing to a joyful, community-focused atmosphere. Whether visitors were enjoying the live demonstrations, browsing for gifts, or savoring the fresh produce and delicious food, our momo provided a comforting and flavorful bite amidst the festival’s festivities. The Schöneberger Kürbisfest truly brought the community together, and we felt honored to share our love for Nepalese cuisine with such a welcoming crowd. The lively streets, bustling stalls, and festive spirit made it a perfect setting for us to introduce our momo to both new and returning visitors. As we watched people stroll through the festival with their pumpkin-filled baskets and momo in hand, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate the beauty of autumn in Berlin.
