We served our flavorful Nepalese street food at the Bürgerfest 2024, celebrating volunteerism and community spirit, with special focus on Africa and the vibrant contributions of volunteers.
We had the pleasure of participating in the 2024 Bürgerfest, an event hosted by the Federal President to honor volunteerism and encourage civil engagement. Held on September 13 and 14, the festival brought together people from across Germany who have made remarkable contributions to the community through their voluntary efforts. The event also focused on Africa, with the Republic of Kenya as the international partner country, showcasing a global perspective on solidarity and cooperation. The festival offered an incredible program that highlighted the work of over 50 partners, ranging from small local initiatives to large organizations and corporations. It was an inspiring event, emphasizing the importance of volunteerism and the impact of individuals and organizations in shaping a better society. We were proud to contribute to the festive spirit by serving our delicious Nepalese street food, welcoming festival-goers as they explored the cultural and social offerings at Schloss Bellevue. The event's motto, “Pamoja – gemeinsam stärker” (Together Stronger), perfectly captured the essence of the festival, as communities united to celebrate shared values and collective efforts. Visitors had the chance to tour the historic Schloss Bellevue, the Berlin residence of the Federal President, while engaging with the various exhibits and activities. The event provided an excellent platform for learning about civic engagement and international partnerships, with a particular emphasis on Kenya’s contributions. It was an honor to be part of this vibrant celebration of volunteerism and global cooperation!
